1. ACCEPTANCE

By downloading, browsing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of forming a contract in your country of residence. You are responsible for complying with local laws.

3. ACCOUNT TYPES

  • Client Account – search, message and review Artists.
  • Artist Account – all Client functions plus an Artist profile and statistics.
  • Guest – limited browsing.

4. REGISTRATION AND SECURITY

Provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your credentials. In-app settings let you delete your account; account deletion removes your data from live systems immediately and from encrypted back-ups after the time periods specified in our Privacy Policy for each type of storage/service (Firebase Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication).

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Certain Artist features are subscription based through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing and processed by RevenueCat. Prices, billing cycle and auto-renewal terms are displayed before purchase. Refunds are handled by the relevant app store.

6. USER CONTENT

  • 6.1 Your Content includes photos, reviews, messages and profile information.
  • 6.2 You grant us a worldwide licence to host, reproduce and display Your Content for the purpose of operating the Service.
  • 6.3 You represent that you own or have rights to post Your Content and that it is lawful.
  • 6.4 We may remove or moderate any content at our discretion.
  • 6.5 You may edit or delete your own chat messages at any time.
  • 6.6. Deleting any type of data within your account removes your data from live systems immediately and from encrypted back-ups after the time periods specified in our Privacy Policy for each type of storage/service (Firebase Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication).

7. REVIEWS

Clients may leave reviews once our internal eligibility threshold is met. Reviews must be truthful and not defamatory. We may edit, hide or delete reviews and our decision is final. We may also display aggregated reviews that we lawfully acquire from other reputable services, clearly marking their source.

8. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to violate any law, post illegal or hateful content, harvest personal data, interfere with the Service, reverse-engineer, upload malware or otherwise misuse the Service. You also agree not to steal, copy, or use others’ intellectual property (including but not limited to artwork, designs, photographs, or creative works) without their explicit consent.

9. PROFILE MODERATION AND APPROVAL

We reserve the right to review, moderate, suspend, or remove any Artist or Client profiles at our sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, profiles that violate these Terms, contain inappropriate content, or, in the case of Artist profiles, appear to be of low quality, fake, or potentially unsafe. We implement these measures as a precautionary service to our users and to maintain the quality and safety of our platform. However, our moderation activities do not constitute an assumption of liability on our part to prevent all inappropriate content or services, and we make no guarantee that all content has been reviewed or approved. The responsibility for the quality and safety of providing or receiving tattoo or other types of services advertised on the platform remains solely with the individual Artists and Clients.

10. Curation & Minimum Workmanship Standard

To protect clients and the artist community, Inku applies a Minimum Workmanship Standard focused on observable workmanship (e.g., consistent linework, adequate saturation/shading, composition/symmetry, hygiene observations, healed results). We may limit visibility, pause, or remove profiles that fall below this standard or present safety risks, at our sole discretion. Artists may re-apply after improvements or once licensing/registration is verified.

General Requirements for Portfolio/Flash Images:

  • Portfolio/Flash photos should be of original tattoos by the artist/studio, good lighting, sharp images, not over-filtered, no stock or reposted other artists’ work.
  • Photos must show the whole piece, straight-on (not just angles that hide flaws).
  • If a home studio, must be appropriately licensed/registered with the local council (photo of current certificate on request).

Examples of workmanship issues that may lead to reduced visibility, pause, or removal:

  • Linework: obvious wobble, repeated blowouts, inconsistent line weight.
  • Saturation/Shading: patchy fill, washed-out blacks, muddied shading.
  • Composition/Text: crooked/warped elements, stencil not followed, misspelled text.
  • Healed result: scarring, excessive blowouts, poor retention across multiple pieces.
  • Hygiene: no gloves, no barrier film, not a clean setup

We don’t judge style; assessment is about execution visible in photos. This list is non-exhaustive. We may exercise reasonable discretion in applying these standards. Artists can re-apply after improvements.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Service and all related intellectual property rights belong to Augmentum Studios Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our trademarks.

12. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or endorse any tattoo services provided by Artists. Arrangements for tattoo work are solely between Client and Artist.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you paid in the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

14. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify Augmentum Studios Ltd and its officers, employees and agents against any claim arising from your breach of these Terms or infringement of another’s rights.

15. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections 10 to 13 survive termination.

16. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes.

17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Contact support@augmentumstudios.com first; we aim to resolve disputes within 30 days. If unresolved, the matter may be brought before the courts specified in section 15.

18. CHANGES

We may modify these Terms. We will notify you at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
